Anthony Layberger, 61, Enjoyed Playing Basketball, Fishing and Spending Time with HIs Granchildren
Anthony “Tony” Layberger, 61, of Amherst Township, passed away March 26, 2018 unexpectedly in his home.
He was born May 5, 1956 in Elyria to Alfred and Emma Layberger (née Wood).
Tony enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren and living life to the fullest. He didn’t care what anyone had to say about him and he would help anyone if he could. Tony worked at Marathon Steel in Elyria for about 15 years.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Trisha Layberger of Amherst Township; step children William “Billy”, Tommy, Adrienne Keene; brothers Kirk, Rory and Kevin “Scott” Layberger. His best friend Tommy Trent and his cousin Dave Woods were like his brothers.
Tony was preceded in death by his step father Harold Gunderson and his mother Emma Gunderson; and his brother Doug Layberger.
A memorial service will be at Lorain Baptist Church, 3640 Palm Avenue, Lorain at 3 PM and dinner there following the service.
