Jeanette Belle Stokes, 101, Had a Wonderful Life
Jeanette Belle “Mimi” Stokes (nee Seeley), 101, of Avon, died Monday April 9, 2018 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home in Avon.
She was born November 28, 1916 in Collinwood, Ohio.
Jeanette had a wonderful life.
She is the beloved mother of Dixie Lou Durham (David) of Honolulu, Hawaii, Carol Sue Holtz (Thomas) of Medina and Sally Ann Zeppernick (David) of Sheffield Lake and grandchildren: Charles Holtz, Vicki Holtz, Matthew Durham, Trevor Durham and Brian Zeppernick. She was preceded in death by her parents Harry A. Seeley in 1961 and Emma M. Seeley (nee Barrett) in 1977, granddaughter Kirstie Lynn Durham, sister Nancy Marie Seeley, brother Harry Seeley, Jr and former husband Meda B. Stokes.
A Celebration of Life will be announced later this year. Burial was in West Richfield Cemetery in Richfield, Ohio.
Jeanette’s family would like to thank the management and staff at Avon Oaks Nursing Home for the excellent care shown to her during her stay there.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
