Marie C. Urig, 92, Enjoyed Traveling
Marie C. Urig (nee Myers), 92 of Lorain, died Wednesday May 9, 2018 in Elmcroft of Lorain.
She was born August 29, 1925 in Lorain, and remained a lifelong resident.
Marie had been a parishioner of the former St. Joseph Church in Lorain. She belonged to the Corvair Club in Sandusky, and did volunteer work for the Lady of the Wayside. She enjoyed traveling, and spending winters in Florida. She especially loved spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her son David Urig of Berlin Heights, daughters Debbie Smith of Lorain, and Donna (Tom) Nadeau of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, grandchildren Ryan and Lesley Urig, Dawn Hoover, Amy Griffith, Mark Mathew and Jennifer Smith, and Michael and Lindsay Nadeau, along with eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cletus (Gus) Urig in 2013, and her parents Joseph and Mary Myers.
Friends may call Thursday May 17th from 10:00 AM till time of funeral service at 1:00 PM in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Deacon Lou Maldonado will officiate, and entombment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Avon.
