Clemente Berrios, 99, Enjoyed Gardening and Spending Time with His FAmily

He was born March 28, 1919 in Comerio, Puerto Rico to Maria and Juan Berrios. Clemente came to Lorain, Ohio in 1948. Clemente worked at Fruehauf and then at U.S. Steel until he retired in 1982 Clemente was a member of Sociedad de Caraballos and President of the Church Council and Templo Emmanuel. He was also a member of the United Steel Workers, Local 1104, Lorain. Clemente enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Ramona Berrios (née Marquez); daughter Carmen (David) Close; sons, Samuel (Suzie) Berrios, Francisco (Iris) Aponte; grandchildren, Aimee Gorbach, Ross Close, Samantha Antonio, Mary Diaz and Steven Berrios, Melinda (Robert) Taylor and John Marquez, Melissa, Venessa; greatgrandchildren, Jasmin, Aidan, Gaige, Alivia, Ariana, Athalia, Adrian, Aaron, Samuel, Royal and Juan.

Other than his parents Clemente was preceded in death by his son Juan Marquez in 1998, four brothers Sixto, Saturno, Juan and Hipolito Berrios and two sisters Ramona and Juanita Berrios.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, May 30 from 5:00 pm until time of service at 7 PM in Templo Emmanuel, 4230 Clinton Avenue, Lorain, where his funeral service will be Thursday at 10 am in the church. The Rev. Pedro Negron, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
