Dorothy V. O'Hara, 87, Avid Gardener
Dorothy V. “Dorie” O’Hara (nee Drusseau), 87, of Elyria, a loving mother passed away Tuesday June 26, 2018 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain.
She was born in Franklinville, New York to Clifford and Elizabeth Drusseau (nee Fries). She graduated from Ten Broeck Academy in Franklinville and worked at Motorola retiring in 1994.
Dorothy was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her vegetables and flowers. She loved bowling and enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends. She was a member of Beth-el Baptist Church in Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Rosalie Kozlowski and Marilyn Keys. She is survived by her sister Margaret Oakes, her children: Maureen Bajcer (Steve), Robby O’Hara (Shelia) and Michele Bajcer (Steve); five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Beth-el Baptist Church, 10170 W. Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH. 44035.
