Teofilo Ramos Matos, 92, Enjoyed Fishing, Singing and Playing Guitar
Teofilo Teo Ramos Matos, 92, of Lorain, fell asleep in death from dementia on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home, Lorain.
He was born in Penuelas, Puerto Rico on September 30, 1925 to Venancio & Maria (nee Ramos) Matos.
Teo enjoyed his Cadillacs and taking care of his lawn. His hobbies were fishing, singing and playing guitar. Teo worked at US Steel Lorain Works for over 28 years. He was a member of the United Steel Workers Local 1104, Lorain.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 68 years Rosalina Matos of Lorain, his son James Matos of Cleveland; daughters Elba Marcano of Florida, Lucy Matos and Doreen Matos both of Lorain; brother Tomas Ramos Matos of Lorain; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Other than his parents Teo was preceded in death by his sons Teofilo Matos Jr in 2010 and Israel Rusty Matos in 1991 and 10 siblings.
We would like to thank the staff in 300 hall for being so kind & attentive.
And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous Acts 24:15
His family will receive friends at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Wednesday, July 25 from 4 to 8 PM and Thursday morning from 9 until time of service at 11 AM, with Rafael Roman, Elder of the Spanish Congregation of Jehovah Witness, Lorain.
