Yolanda Anglero, 57, Enjoyed Watching Classic Films and Traveling

Photo of Yolanda Anglero Yolanda Anglero, 57, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at her home in Lorain.

She was born June 20, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York and has lived in Lorain for over 20 years.

Yolanda was the supervisor of a home for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with REM Ohio for 15 years, a job she truly enjoyed and made a lasting impact on many lives. She also enjoyed watching classic films, traveling, and playing with her grandchildren.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 23 years, Ivan Cortes, and her children, Fernando Figueroa, Gricel Figueroa, and Aaron (Sylvia) Rios. Her memory will continue to live on within the hearts of her grandchildren, Aiden, Fernando, Arya, and Deo.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Cancel, who passed away on April 2, 2018.

Family and friends are invited to visitation hours on Wednesday, September 12, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM funeral service at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain, Ohio 44055. Rev. Gilbert Silva, pastor of the House of Praise will officiate. Burial will follow at the Ridge Hill Cemetery in Amherst.
