Jesse M. Valletta, 82, Enjoyed Golfing, Bowling, and Watching Cleveland Sports

He was born September 29, 1935 in Lorain and remained a resident until 2004, moving to North Ridgeville.

Jesse retired in 1990 as Branch Manager of the Sheffield Lake Post Office, after 32 years of service.

He is a parishioner of St. Peter Church in North Ridgeville, and former member of St. Peter in Lorain.

Jesse had coached Little League baseball for many years. He belonged to the Elyria Senior Fellowship Club. He enjoyed playing Euchre and Pinochle, Thursdays at the North Ridgeville Senior Center, and Friday nights Meet-n-Eat. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and watching Cleveland sports. He especially loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events and school concerts.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 61 years Rose Marie (nee Reichlin), children Kathy (Jack) Kurish, Mike (Sue) Valletta, Tom (Lori) Valletta, and Don (Sandy) Valletta, grandchildren Brian Kurish, Carrie (Chris) Hinshaw, Patrick (Mary), Kevin (Kaitlin), Anthony, and Zachary Valletta, Dannielle (Patrick) Povse, Christopher, Marco, and Gino Valletta, great-grandsons William and Jesse Valletta, along with sisters Anita Wigton, and Emily Jurczynski.

He was preceded in death by his parents Luigi and Alfonsina Valletta, and a sister Santa Manzo.

Friends may call Sunday September 16, 2018 from 3:00 PM till 7:00 PM in Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home, 2920 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral Mass will be Monday at 11:30 AM in St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, OH. (Please meet at the church). Fr. Robert Franco will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
