Filiberto O. Guzman, 88, Loved Spending Time with Family, Playing the Lottery, and Gardening
Filiberto O. Guzman, 88, of Lorain, went to be home with the Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, surrounded with his loving family by his side.
He was born on August 8, 1930 in Villalba, Puerto Rico. Filiberto retired from the Lorain Ford Motor Company. He loved spending time with family, playing the lottery and gardening.
Filiberto will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Carmen M. Guzman of Lorain, his son, Filbert Guzman of Elyria; daughters Beatriz Guzman of Cleveland, Eveline (Arcsenio) Ortiz, Birma and Yamel Guzman all of Lorain and Wanda Guzman of Beaverton, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernesto Olivieri Rivera and Providencia Guzman and his siblings, Carlos, Samuel, Maria and Jose.
His family will receive friends on Monday, September 24th from 5 to 8 PM at La Iglesia de Dios Pentecostal "Ebenezer", 1676 East 36th Street, Lorain. A Celebration of his Life service will be at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Gerardo Aponte, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
