Ismael Dominguez Amezola, 56, Praised for Being a Hard Worker
Ismael Dominguez Amezola, 56, of Lorain, passed away this Sunday morning, September 30, 2018 at home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Monte Grande, Veracruz, Mexico, and then growing up in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico. Ismael came to the United States in the early 80s to work. Ismael was a carpenter by trade having worked anywhere from Texas to Connecticut. Ismael was constantly praised for being a hard worker by his family, friends, bosses, and coworkers. Ismael arrived in Lorain in 1990 where he met Alicia at The Mexican Mutual Society, Lorain. Though Ismael continued to work out of town, he always made his way back home to Lorain.
Ismael is survived by his fiancé of over 20 years Alicia Hernandez of Lorain; sons Ismael De La Pena and Manuel Dominguez; daughter Alicia Rodriguez; brother Reynaldo Dominguez Amezola; sisters Leticia Amezola Morales and Magalena Dominguez; several cousins, various nieces and nephews, and six grandchildren.
Ismael is preceded in death by his parents Ismael Dominguez and Francisca Amezola, and brother Trinidad Dominguez.
His family will receive friends Sunday, October 7 from 4 to 8 PM at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st St., South Lorain. His funeral will be Monday with closing prayers in the funeral home at 9:45 AM then Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, (Homewood Drive and Rt. 57, Grove Avenue), Lorain. Rev. Father John C. Retar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
