Patrick J. O'Keefe, 93, U.S. Navy Veteran

He was born December 23, 1925 in Altoona, Pennsylvania to John W. and Della (née Klausek) O’Keefe.

Patrick was proud of his service in the Navy during World War II. He received the European-Africa, Asiatic–Pacific and Philippine Liberation awards with one bronze star. He participated in the Invasion of Normandy and the battle for Okinawa

He owned and operated O’Keefe Casting in Lorain. Patrick worked for the Elyria Foundry for 23 years. He attended Church on the Open Door.

Our treasured father will always be remembered for his love of his Savior, Jesus Christ. He especially cherished his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

He will greatly missed by his sons, Patrick Jr. (Linda) of Wellington, Dennis (Debbie) of Moscow, Pennsylvania, Larry of Lorain, Kevin (Jill) of New Russia Township and Brian of Sheffield Village; daughters, Bridget O'Keefe of Lorain and Maureen O'Keefe of Belews Creek, North Carolina; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Other than his parents Patrick was preceded by his wife Irene S. O'Keefe (née Ribnikar), in 2017.

Graveside service will be Tuesday, October 9, at 11 AM at New Russia Township Cemetery, 12528 Oberlin Road, Oberlin. Rev. Chris Reutepohler, Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church, Amherst, will officiate. With Military Honors by the AMVETS post 23, Elyria.
