Susan T. Pepon, 96, Enjoyed Baking and Gardening
Susan T. Pepon (nee Findish), 96, of Lorain, died Monday October 8, 2018 at her home while surrounded by her family.
She was born December 2, 1921 in Hollsopple, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain since 1955 moving from Windber, Pennsylvania.
Susan worked as an assembler at Lorain Products for 18 years retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Lorain, the church Marian Guild, the Third Order of Secular Franciscans and Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath 111. She was a very giving and loving person whose faith was very important to her as she prayed often, made rosaries and donated to the missions. She enjoyed baking and gardening.
She is survived by her children: George R. (Barbara) Pepon of Lorain, Dolores (Rod) Musser of Huntersville, North Carolina, Gerald (Patti) Pepon of Woodstock, Georgia and Karen (John) Wicker of Sheffield Lake; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Molnar and Agnes Bilich, both of Pennsylvania and brother George (Natalie) Findish of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years George Pepon on September 5, 2000; parents Andrew & Elizabeth Findish (nee Mocak); sisters: Mary Danko, Elizabeth Mauger, Anna Jubick, Helen Kurowski and Margaret Geleto and brothers Joseph, Andrew & John Findish.
The family will receive friends Thursday October 11th from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain where the Third Order of Secular Franciscans will conduct prayer services Thursday at 6:30 pm. Additional viewing will be held Friday October 12th from 10:30 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E Erie Ave, Lorain. The Rev Father Thomas Sanders, OSB, of the Benedictine Order of Cleveland will officiate. Entombment will be held in the Freedom Chapel Mausoleum at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
