Edwin Torres

Photo of Edwin Torres This is the story of Edwin Torres. Edwin was a gregarious man that was loved, is missed & will always be cherished. Our “buelo” as he liked to be called by his grandchildren, “EJ” as he was called by his siblings, was a loving father, son and golfer like no other.

Edwin’s story starts on November 1, 1956, the child of Hector & Rafaela Torres. Edwin was born in Lorain, Ohio and graduated from Admiral King High School. He moved to Denver, Colorado in the early 80’s and was very proud to be a Denver Broncos fan. A lifelong learner, he returned to Ohio in 1998 to pursue his passion for counseling.

Edwin’s father, Hector Torres, welcomed him above on Thursday October 4, 2018. Loved ones that will miss Edwin until they meet again are mother Rafaela; daughter Nikole (Gongaware) James; son Christopher; brothers Chino & Johnny; sisters Judy Gonzalez, Ana Parrilla, Mary Jean Andujar and Zoraida. He loved sneaking Pepsi and candy to his “favorite little people”: Riley, Grayson, & Camila.

A celebration of his life will take place Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Friends may also call Wednesday, October 10 from 8:30 until Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

His family suggests contributions to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, Ohio 44055.
