Rose Minichiello, 93, Loved to Polka Dance

Photo of Rose Minichiello Rose Minichiello (nee Bugara), age 93, of North Ridgeville passed away Saturday December 1, 2018 at UH Elyria Medical Center.

She was born in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville since 1957.

After graduating from John Hay High School, Cleveland she worked at Security Federal Bank in Cleveland before taking time to raise her family. Following raising her family, she returned to work as a cafeteria cashier at North Ridgeville Middle School retiring in 1985 after 17 years.

She was a very active member of St. Peter Church, joining the Altar and Rosary Society and church choir. While her children attended St. Peter’s School, she was active in the PTA. She and her husband loved to Polka Dance going on various bus trips out of state with her friends Bev and Don. Her other interests included swimming at the YMCA, roller skating, plays with her friend Rose, sewing, crocheting, and knitting. She enjoyed her many pet companions over the years. She was also a member of United Polish Club, Elyria.

Survivors include her husband, Mike, who she married on Valentine’s Day in February 1953; daughter Peggy Stambaugh (Jim), of Trinity, Florida, son Ken (Bev) Minichiello of Parma; granddaughters Karrie and Amanda; great grandchildren Bradley, Zachary, Lorelei, and Joshua. She was preceded by her parents, Stanley and Mary Bugara, and brother Louis Bugara.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7-9 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday followed by 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church. Reverend Andrew Hoover will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
