Dragica Rajsel, 92, Enjoyed Listening To and Singing Croatian and Slovenian Music
Dragica Rajsel (née Bukovac), 92, of Lorain, passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 at her home.
Dragica was born May 13, 1926 in Zrnok, Croatia, part of the former Yugoslavia. She immigrated in December 1968 with her husband and three children.
She enjoyed listening to and singing to Croatian and Slovenian music up until the day before her passing. Dragica also enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was a wonderful homemaker. She always had a friendly word for everyone, and her greatest joy was being with her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished always by those that knew her. Dragica was a member for St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, Lorain, and the former St. Vitus Croatian Church, Lorain.
She is survived by her son Ivan (Angelina) Rajsel of Lorain; daughter Nevenka Rajsel of Bay Village, niece Aleyda Santiago Rajsel of Comerio, Puerto Rico, and nephew Alexander Rajsel of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her husband Josip Rajsel in 1970, daughter Irena Rajsel in 2015; Josip and Polonia (née Kovac) Bukovac; brothers Josip, Anton, Dragutin, Bogdan, and infant brother BogdanBukovac; sisters Jelka Groselj, Stanka Habijanec, and Marta Diklich.
Her family will received friends on Tuesday, January 8 from 4 to 8 PM at Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Closing prayers will be Wednesday 10 AM at the funeral home, then Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Parish, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain (at Grove Avenue). Rev. Father John C Retar, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
