Ellen L. Jacovetti, 54, Loved Her Grandchildren

Photo of Ellen L. Jacovetti Ellen L. Jacovetti (nee Duttry), 54, of Amherst, died unexpectedly on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital in Fairview Park.

She was born September 20, 1964 in Lorain and had resided in the Amherst, South Amherst and Lorain areas most of her life.

Ellen worked as a Patient Care Assistant for over 15 years and loved taking care of people. She loved her grandchildren, decorating her home for all the holidays, baking and arts & crafts.

She was a member of the VFW Post #8686 Ladies Auxiliary in Sheffield Lake and the American Legion #43 Ladies Auxiliary in Raceland, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years James Jacovetti, daughters: Jennifer Kelleher (Jason) of Lorain and Jessica Garcia (Paul) of South Amherst; grandchildren: Liam & Olianna Kelleher and Salina & Layla Garcia; sisters: Sarah Koehler (Mike) of Elyria and Charmain (Ron) Gilles of Vermilion, brother Arthur (Kathy) Duttry of Birmingham and sister Mary Ann Cook (Greg) of Brownhelm Township. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore & Betty Lou Duttry (nee Misener) and sister Barb Jones.

The family will receive friends Monday June 17 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 18 at 10:30 am in the funeral chapel. The Rev Jeff Keesee of Midway Baptist Church in Elyria will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
