Pauline A. Gill, 70, Enjoyed Attending Cookouts and Family Gatherings
Pauline A. “Penny” Gill (nee Zan), age 70, of Lorain, passed away at the Ames Family Hospice Center in Westlake, Ohio on the morning of Saturday August 24, 2019 following an extended illness.
Penny was born in Lorain on August 8, 1949 and had been a resident of Lorain County for her entire life. She was a 1967 graduate of Lorain High School.
She was most recently employed as a home health aid throughout western Cuyahoga County. She had previously been employed as an assembler for the Lorain Products Corporation as well as a clerk in the shipping and receiving department of the Hill’s Department Store formerly located on Grove Avenue in South Lorain.
Among her interests, Penny enjoyed attending cookouts and family gatherings, especially during the holidays. She was also an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughter Kimberly (nee Laroway) Edwards (Michael) of Lorain. and brother Keith E. Zan (Denise) residing in Sheffield Lake. She was preceded in death by her parents Steven B. and Helen M. (nee Staveski) Zan, and by brothers Mark J. and Steve A. Zan.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Reverend Gerald Keller will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
