James R. Sheridan, age 78, of North Ridgeville and Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at his home in North Ridgeville after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
He was born in Columbus and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1978. He spent time at his home in Ft. Myers during the Winter season.
James worked as an accountant for Production Tool Supply in Cleveland for 20 years before retiring in 2001, then more recently was a consultant with Forevergreen Lawn Care.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Ft. Myers, attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Westlake, past president of the NRASL and was an active, longtime member of AA.
He was an avid sports fan, golfer and softball player who enjoyed camping and coaching kids’ soccer. He was also active with the Muirwood Condominium Association, serving as the Treasurer.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Mary Woods-Sheridan (nee Charlesworth); sons, Michael (Tammy) Sheridan of San Jose, Costa Rica, John Sheridan of Elyria; stepson, Christopher (Trudy) Woods of Avon and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara; parents, John Sheridan and Madalynn Quant; stepson, Bradley Woods and grandson, Jacob.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4-7 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville and from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM Thursday at Prince of Peace 28455 Center Ridge Road, Westlake. Private burial will take place in Ridgeville Cemetery.
