Arthur R. James Sr., 69, Enjoyed Racing Cars
Arthur R. James Sr., age 69, of N. Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
He was born in Fairview and had been a lifelong resident of N. Ridgeville.
Arthur worked as an Asst. Manager for Giant Eagle, retiring in 2017 after 48 years.
He enjoyed racing cars for over 30 years, working on the family farm, old cars and go-cart racing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Connie (nee Klena); children, Carmen (Beau Sterling) Spitzmesser of Nevada, Ralph (Chris) James of Elyria , AJ (Heather) James of North Ridgeville; grandchildren, Garrett, Cayla, Aiden, Jazlyn, Tyler; stepbrothers, Gary and Dale Pete and aunt, Betty Anne Edwards of Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Pearl James; stepfather Andy Pete; sister Maryann Chambers.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4PM and from 6PM until the time of services at 8PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville. Rev. Andrew Hoover will officiate.
