Catherine L. Sand, 84, Enjoyed Playing Cards and Knitting

She was born March 24th, 1935 in Lorain. She was an active member of the Catholic church. She volunteered her time with the Altar and Rosary Society and Bingo at St. Stans and St. Vincent de Paul. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, knitting, trips to the casino, and spending time with her family.

She will be deeply missed by her loving family; sons John (Ellen) and Robert (Robbie) Sand both of Lorain and Richard (Kelly) Sand of Vermilion; daughter Lori (Tom) Dumski of Elyria; grandchildren Chadd, Shannon (and That Guy Zeth), Brett, LeAnne, Corey, Danielle, Bailey, and Riley; great grandchildren Avery, Braedyn and Raegan ; brother Gerald (Judy) Mangan of San Diego, California.

Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Sand; her parents Mary and John Mangan; sisters Mary Mihalik and Georgene Zane and grandchildren Ronald and Robert Sand and Jason and Joel Dumski.

Her family will receive friends Tuesday, November 5 from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. Closing prayers Wednesday in the funeral home at 10 AM then Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 41295 North Ridge Road, Elyria. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
