Ana Luz Rivas, 85, Loved to Take Care of People
Ana Luz Rivas (nee Gonzalez) 85, of Lorain, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family at New Life Hospice Center, Lorain, Wednesday, November 27, 2019 following a brief illness.
She was a homemaker and loved to take care of people. If you were hungry, she fed you. She loved gardening, crocheting and cooking. If you needed advice, she gave it. If you wanted prayer, she would faithfully pray. No matter what her trials, battles and tribulations were she always had an amazing smile that lit up a room the minute you walked in. She was a kind, loving and caring woman. Her loved for Jesus has left a legacy that has touched many lives. She was a Member of the House of Praise International Church, Lorain.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Marysel Rivas, Madelyn Roldan (Rivas) and Elizabeth Perez (Rivas), 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelio Rivas, sons, Luis Alberto Rivas, Roberto Rivas, Daniel Rivas and daughter, Carmen Rivera (Suarez).
Her family will receive family and friends Monday, December 2, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at the House of Praise church, 4321 Elyria Avenue, Lorain, OH 44055. Celebration of Life will be from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, on December 3, 2019 at the House of Praise church. Burial will follow at Calvary cemetery, Lorain.
Her family suggests memorial contributions to House of Praise International Church, Lorain.
