Geneva Henson, 89, Worked in Cafeteria at Garfield Elementary School for Many Years
Geneva Henson (nee Brown), 89, of Lorain, died Tuesday February 23, 2020 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center in Lorain after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 11, 1931 in Kentucky and had resided in Lorain most of her life.
Geneva worked in the cafeteria at Garfield Elementary School in Lorain for many years. She was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball fan, Cleveland Indians fan and WWE wrestling fan.
She is survived by her children: Keith Henson (Donna), Dedra Henson and Lindsey “Bo” Henson (Anna), 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sisters Martha Walker and Becky Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents Hatler & Liddia Brown (nee Bentley) and her 5 brothers & sisters.
Private family graveside services will be held at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
