Geraldine Mahaffey, 76, Enjoyed Reading and Watching Television
Geraldine “Jerry” Mahaffey (nee Vester), 76, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in Lorain, OH.
She was born in Lorain, OH on January 18, 1944 to her loving parents, Percy and Marie (nee Mayer) Vester and she was raised in Avon Lake. Jerry attended Avon Lake High School and later moved to Lorain, OH where she raised her five children.
She was employed by Sands Lounge, Lowe’s and Home Depot. Jerry enjoyed reading, spending time at Lake Erie and watching television, especially reruns of Matlock.
She is survived by her two daughters, Frances Brown of Lorain and Marie Carlson of Avon Lake; two sons, William V. Mahaffey of Olmsted Township and Robert A. Mahaffey of Lorain; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Marie Vester; son, Beau J. Mahaffey; brother, Ronald Amperman; and son-in-law, Ronald Carlson.
