Helen T. Kozich, 84, Enjoyed Camping and Traveling

Photo of Helen T. Kozich Helen T. Kozich (nee Miller), 84, of Lorain, died Wednesday July 8, 2020 at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born November 27, 1935 in Cleveland and had resided in Lorain most of her life.

Helen graduated from Avon Lake High School and worked in the bakery at Meyer Goldberg and at Katz Bakery in Lorain.

Helen and her husband Don enjoyed spending their winters in Florida, camping, traveling, going to the beach and spending time at their cottage in Vermilion. She was an avid fan of Cleveland sports teams and enjoyed going to her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of the Croatian Club where she bowled and was a member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a very religious person and prayed often.

She is survived by her children: Kim Catanzarite of Lorain, Edward Kozich (Jane) of Avon, Cynthia Vidovich of Toledo, John Kozich (Lisa) of Lorain, Daniel Kozich of Irvine, California and Patrick Greco of North Ridgeville; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and sister Patricia Sullivan (Tom) of Avon Lake. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Donald E. Kozich on April 11, 2007, grandson Jason Kalo, son Donald Kozich, great grandson Darion Kozich, parents Edward & Margaret Miller (nee Corrigan) and brother Warren Miller.

The family will receive friends Tuesday July 14, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday with the Rev. John Retar, pastor, of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, presiding. Cremation will follow.

Please follow the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines that are displayed at the funeral chapel entrance and throughout the building. Masks must be worn by all attendees.
