Serafim Anadiotis, 82, Proud of His Greek Heritage

He was born October 27, 1937 in Domvrena, Thieva, Greece to Yanni and Anastasia (nee Margaritis) Anadiotis. Sam served in the Greek Army before coming to the United States in 1960.
Sam married Eudoxia (Vicki) Topalov in October 1962. Sam was employed at General Motors Fisher Guide Plant, Elyria from 1964 until he retired in 1994.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and its Ahepa Society. Sam was proud of his Greek heritage and passed that pride to his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with his grandchildren, and having coffee and spirited conversations at McDonald’s with his Greek friends.
Sam is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eudoxia Vicki (nee Topalov); sons John (Lisa), Tom (Lee) and Chris (Jennifer) all of Amherst; grandchildren Sam, Nicholas, Hunter, Matthew, Sara and Sofia; brother George and sisters Nitsa Peskiris and Maria (Dionisis) Arbonnis all of Greece; first cousin James Pappas of Strongsville; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Other than his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jim Peskiris.
His family will receive friends Monday July 20 from 4 to 8 pm at the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East. 31st Street, South Lorain where a Trisagion service will take place at 7pm. Masks and social distancing are required. Private funeral service will take place at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Lorain. With Rev. Protopresbyter Michael C. Gulgas officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
