Bradley James Heider, 60, Enjoyed Woodworking

Photo of Bradley James Heider Bradley James Heider, 60, passed away following a 9 month courageous battle with glioblastoma on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at his home in Lorain, OH with his loving family by his side.

He was born on July 4, 1960 in Lorain, OH to his loving parents, Oscar M. and Jean E. (Dorsey) Heider.

Bradley graduated from Admiral King High School, Class of 1978. He worked in graphic design/printing at HKM in Cleveland, OH. Brad was a member of Amvets Post 47 in Lorain, American Legion Post 118 in Amherst, Lake Erie Moose Lodge 552 in Lorain and the American Croation Club. He enjoyed woodworking, DJing with his business B + B Express. Brad was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State University Buckeyes.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Beth (nee Kosco) Heider of Lorain; daughters, Ashley (Matt) Heider Kenny of Santa Clara, CA and Brittney (Greg) Gigliotti of Elyria; sons, Thomas (Crissy) Yost of Lorain and Matthew (Chelsea) Yost of Lorain; brother, Jack (Jill) Heider of Sheffield Township; sisters, Marci Whitt and Janet (John) Heinzerling of Lorain; grandchildren, Violet Gigliotti, Aleah Yost, Ava Stewart, Matthew Yost and Kylie Yost; father-in-law, Dale A. Kosco of Lorain; sisters-in-law, Jackie Heider of Lorain and Helen Holiday of Medina; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar M. “Dutch” Heider Sr. in 2007; mother, Jean E. (nee Dorsey) Heider in 2002; brothers, Dennis Heider in 2017 and Oscar M. “Swabby” Heider Jr. in 1976; mother-in-law, Mary Sue (nee Smith) Kosco in 2016; and niece, Meredith Heider in 2009.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Friday, August 21, 2020 from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Burial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N. Ridge Rd, Lorain, OH 44053 (meet at cemetery main entrance on Saturday).
