Dusti D. Cochran, 43, Enjoyed Travel and the Outdoors

Photo of Dusti D. Cochran Dusti D. Cochran, age 43, of South Amherst, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday September 24, 2020 in Amherst Township.

She was born in Richmond, Virginia on January 15, 1977 and had been a resident of Ohio for the majority of her life.

Dusti had formerly worked as a fashion model in New York; for the past five years she had been employed as bar manager at the Train Wreck Tavern in South Amherst.

Known for her adventurous spirit, Dusti enjoyed travel and the outdoors. In addition, she liked motorcycles, auto racing, and watching Investigation I.D. and Animal Rescue on television.

She is survived by her daughter Veronica Wells of Elyria, grandchildren Brylan Thomas and Rhyder Joseph, fiancée Bill Allen of South Amherst, and sisters Brandy Cochran of North Fairfield, and Heidi Cochran of Columbus.

Dusti was preceded in death by her mother Shirley J. Rister in 2018.

Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 noon until time of funeral services at 1:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. Facial coverings / masks will be required by all attendees and visitors are asked to follow the COVID-19 guidelines posted at the funeral chapel entrance and throughout the building. Mr. James Hiser representing the Lorain Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
