Floyd Peaco Jr., Avid Drag Racer

Born in Lakewood, he grew up in Lorain and attended high school in North Ft. Myers, Florida, where he sang in the Florida State Choir.
Floyd worked with Millwright Local 1871 for 35 years before retiring in 2002, and served as the Mayor of North Ridgeville from 1983-1989.
An avid drag racer, Floyd was most recently the track announcer at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk. He coached city baseball and football teams and was a founding father of the North Ridgeville baseball boosters.
Husband of 52 years to Mary Jane (nee Lichtenberg) loving father to Floyd "Skooter" (Sharon) Peaco III, Diane (Ron) Gillaspie, grandfather to Dylan Peaco, Cadence, Cassidy and Carsyn Gillaspie, brother to Michael (Judy) Peaco of West Salem.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Sr. and Doris (nee Cole) and sister Dianne Peaco.
Private services were held.
