Wilfredo Torres, 67, Motorcycle Enthusiast

He was born in Lares, Puerto Rico on October 18, 1953. He relocated to Lorain in 1958. Freddy graduated from Southview High School in 1972. He was an extremely hard worker and worked at U.S. Steel in Lorain until his retirement. Freddy was a motorcycle enthusiast and also enjoyed running with the Lorain County Road Runners. He was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel, American Slovak Club, and VFW 1662 Auxiliary.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Karen (nee Kolcun) Torres; daughter Alicia Torres; son Jose Torres; sisters Carmen Rivera, Bienvienda (Narcisco) Santiago, Elizabeth (Luis) Quinones; Nilda (Scott) Rau and Frances Torres; brother Joe Torres; grandson Brandon Johnson; great-grandson Elijah Pena and many nieces and nephews.
He was reunited in heaven with his parents Theresa and Fransisco; brothers, Juan and Oscar.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, December 2 from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Social distancing will be enforced and all attending will be required to wear a mask.
