Catherine M. Cote, 84, Enjoyed Camping and Knitting
Catherine M. Cote (nee Parent), age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center in Lorain.
She was born on October 19, 1936 in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Canada, and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 47 years, previously lived in Philadelphia, Ontario and Quebec. She was a member of St. Peter Parish in North Ridgeville.
Catherine enjoyed camping with her family, was very crafty and especially enjoyed knitting. The summer months would find her tending to her flowers and garden. Her family was number one in her life, and she loved getting together and cooking dinners they would share together.
She is survived by her daughter Claire (Ken) Hutman of Elyria; sons Michael (Jackie) Cote of Elyria and David Cote of Hilliard; grandchildren Alexandra, Michael, Molly, Abigail and James; sisters Alice and Yvonne Parent; brothers Walter (Jean) Parent and Leonard (Beverly) Parent; many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cote; parents Edward and Opal Frances (nee Thompson) Parent; brother Lloyd Parent.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday December 12, 2020 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
