Agustina Cortes, 81, Loved Spending Time with Her Family and Friends
Agustina Cortes (nee Rosa) 81, of Lorain, passed away Monday, December 14th, 2020 in her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness.
She was born May 5, 1939 in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to Felipe and Maria (nee Santiago) Rosa. She came to Lorain as a child. She was a member of Sacred Heart Chapel. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years, Miguel A Cortes, Sr of Aguadilla, PR; sons Miguel A (MaryJo) Cortes, Jr, Wilson (Lamoine) Cortes, Roberto (Nancy) Cortes, all of Lorain; daughters Nelida (Manuel) Rodriguez of Lorain, Jennie (Charles) Washington of Elyria, Evelyn (Gerardo) Flores of North Ridgeville, Josephine (Hector) Ferrer of Lorain; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Agustina was preceded in death by her son Wilfredo Cortes and her siblings Agracelia (nee Rosa) Hernandez, Eliezer Rosa, Lorenzo Rosa and Tito Cruz.
Her family will receive friends Wednesday, December 16 from 8:30 until 9:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain. Rev. Father William A. Thaden, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain. Masks and social distancing are required.
