Michael Dunick, 83, Enjoyed Traveling to Amish Country

Photo of Michael Dunick Michael Dunick, 83, of Lorain, died Tuesday December 22, 2020 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain after a short illness.

He was born January 24, 1937 in Marion Heights, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain for 51 years.

Mike worked in the Rolling Mill at US Steel in Lorain as a machine operator retiring in 1999 after 30 years.

He was a member of St Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church in Lorain. He loved being with his family and friends and enjoyed traveling to Amish Country, shopping, playing golf, playing cards and watching Christmas movies.

He is survived by his daughter Kimberly Dunick and her husband Michael McClellon of Lorain; grandson David Burns and his wife Crystal of Wellington and great grandchildren Tyler, Maci & Emily Burns. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Joan Dunick (nee Murawski) in 2010, parents Metro & Anna Dunick (nee Hardish) and granddaughter Kristina Burns in 2004.

Private family funeral services will be held with burial in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township. The Very Rev Fr Andrew Nagrant, pastor of St Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church, will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
