Charlene A. Tammaro, 72, Enjoyed Travel, Cooking, and Photography

Photo of Charlene A. Tammaro Charlene A. Tammaro (nee Kleinholz), age 72, of Lorain, passed away at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home on the morning of Wednesday December 23, 2020 following an extended illness.

Charlene was born in Cleveland on March 9, 1948 and grew up in North Ridgeville; she was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Following her marriage, she relocated to Lorain and had been a resident of the city ever since.

A parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lorain, she had been employed as a reservationist for United Airlines for twenty-five years; she had previously worked in the same capacity for Air Canada.

In her free time she enjoyed travel, cooking, and photography. She especially enjoyed taking photographs of her family and displaying and archiving them for everyone’s enjoyment. In addition, she liked spending time with her family and was always willing to help others whenever the need arose.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-eight years Stephen, step-children Stephanie Fligner (Ben), and Michelina Rozar (Dean). Additional survivors include grandchildren Zachary, Gavin, and Vivienne, brothers Carl Kleinholz, Bob Kleinholz (Joan), Gene Kleinholz (Julie), and Tim Kleinholz, sister Mary Conjalko (Jack), and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mary (nee Krist) Kleinholz, brother Frank Kleinholz, and aunts Sophie Sierliga and Josephine Tomazic.

Please join her family at St. Peter Catholic Church – 35777 Center Ridge Road in North Ridgeville at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 30th for the celebration of her Mass of Christian Burial. Facial coverings will be required and social distancing will be enforced. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
