Stella Leshinski, 90, Known for Her Keen Sense of Style

Photo of Stella Leshinski Stella Leshinski (nee Wozniak), age 90, of Lorain, passed away at Lake Pointe Health Care on the evening of Saturday January 2, 2021 following an extended illness.

Stella was born in Lorain on September 4, 1930 and remained a life-long resident of the city.

Stella received her education from the Lorain Public Schools where she was a classmate of novelist and essayist Toni Morrison while in elementary school.

Widely known for her keen sense of style and flair for fashion, Stella parlayed that passion into a career as a buyer for both Smith and Gerhart Department Store and the Lorain Style Center.

A parishioner of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church, she enjoyed shopping and dining out in her free time; she was also an accomplished reader with a special interest in books and periodicals relating to business and finance.

Stella was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 2020, parents Stanislaus and Anna Wozniak, one brother, and one sister.

Entombment will take place privately in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory are encouraged for Mass intentions.
