Marie Podrosky, 87, Will Be Dearly Missed
Marie (nee Rositano) Podrosky, 87, of Amherst, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Amherst Manor in Amherst, Ohio.
She was born in Lorain, OH on February 23, 1933. Marie attended Lorain High School and later received her GED. She obtained her Nursing Degree from St. Joe's School of Nursing and she was an L.P.N., working most of her career at St. Joseph Hospital in Lorain as a Surgical Nurse. Marie married Leonard L. Podrosky on June 7, 1952. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Parish in Lorain.
She is survived by her son, Anthony (Maria) Podrosky of PA; daughter, Pamela M. (John) Mazze of Avon, OH; sisters, Joann Conley and Patsey Smaldino; and brother, Bruno Rositano.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jenny (nee Marino) Rositano; husband, Leonard L. Podrosky; son, Leonard Podrosky; and sisters, Rosie Rositano, Josephine Glorioso and Frances Morris; brother, Nicky Orlando; and infant sister, Consetta.
Private Christian burial services will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain, OH with Fr. Timothy J. O’Connor, officiating.
