Nuna Ristofski, 81, Loved Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

She was born on August 10, 1939 in the village of Nakolec, Macedonia to the late Alexo & Petra Grpcevska. She became a U.S. Citizen June 18, 1969.
Nuna embodied the absolute essence of love for all, especially her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She always had coffee and food ready for guests who would frequent her home. She had a garden that had 99% hot peppers and 1% cucumbers, tomatoes and leek. Nuna’s hot peppers were like candy to her but to most, it was excruciating pain for the first hour. She loved to fish with her late husband, Kico, and would venture out onto the piers of Hot Waters in Lorain and Huron to fish for perch & walleye. Nuna’s other passions were dog races, slot machines at the casinos, lottery tickets and crocheting Toplinki. Nuna was an excellent Macedonian cook & enjoyed roasting peppers, making Baklava and Lukinski (Macedonian sausage).
She was a very active member at St. Clement Macedonian Orthodox Church in Avon, Ohio. Nuna was the beloved wife of the late Kriste Kiko Ristofski of Lorain, Ohio for 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Lucy (Mark) Obran of Lorain; son, Spiro (Angela) Ristofski of Avon; brother, Nikola (Vladanka) Grpcevski of Lorain; grandchildren Markie (Amy) Obran, Matthias (Fiancée Brittany Dickson) Obran, Vesna Ristofski, and Ryan Ristofski; great grandchildren Penelope and Otto Obran; Nieces, Tina Tyler, Patsa Gerovfka, Gordana (Mile) Nikolava, Snezana (Risto) Kronevska, and nephew, Alex Grpcevski.
