Susan Orosz, 98, Dedicated Her Life To Her Family

Having lived in Lorain, she was now residing at Wesleyan Village, Elyria. She was a beloved and cherished wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt and cousin.
Susan was born in Mala Poloma, Czechoslovakia on June 28, 1922 and entered the United States through Ellis Island in 1924. During WWII, she helped with the war effort by working as an inspector in the pipe mill at U.S. Steel. She was a graduate of the Cleveland Academy of Cosmetology and owned Sue’s Beauty Shoppe, Lorain.
Susan was the oldest member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lorain. She enjoyed gardening and dedicated her life to her family.
Susan leaves behind daughters Patricia Schrull (Michael) of Lagrange and Andrea Orosz of Elyria, granddaughter Melissa Haskins (Dale) of Oregon, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis, daughter Carolyn Pesti, grandson Richard Pesti Jr, brothers John and Andrew Gresko, sister Martha Gresko and parents Andrew and Suzanna (nee Stigala) Gresko.
A private funeral was held at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and officiated by Pastor Laurie Miller, followed by internment at Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
Arrangements were made by Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
Memorial donations may be made in Susan’s memory to Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4501 Clinton Ave., Lorain.
