Arnnie Collins Shullick, 89, Enjoyed Traveling

She was born in Mossville Arkansas and had been a resident of Lorain since 1951.
She was most recently employed as the Chief Clerk for the Lorain City Income Tax Office; previously, she had served as the office manager for the medical practice of Dr. Jack Kernohan. Arnnie was also quick to add that her most rewarding career was that of a wife and mother.
She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Rite Catholic Church as well as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at Amvets Post # 47 in Lorain.
Her hobbies included travel to the Holy Land, Greece, Italy, and England. Additional interests included volunteering at church, camping, studying the Bible, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons Kenneth Wayne Collins of Hico, Texas, and Richard Jinx Shullick (Cheryl) of Amherst, daughter Nancy Danese (Mario) of Avon, and son-in-law Dr. Ernie Brazina residing in Rocky River. She also leaves grandchildren Beth Fennell (Jeff) of Avon, Matthew Brazina of Cleveland, Justin Shullick (Justine, Esq.) of Lakewood, LCDR Jared Shullick, USN (Dr. Jaime) of Iwukuni, Japan, Anna Barrington (Brendan) of Shaker Heights, Marissa Arundel (David) of Westlake, Mark Danese (Kelli) of Lakewood, and Matthew Danese, Esq. residing in Avon. Additional survivors include great grandchildren Reagan, Kennedy, and Blake Fennell, Isabella Arundel, and Sloane Shullick, along with siblings Winnie Watson of Texas and Johnnie Gail Harlan (Seth) of Oklahoma.
Arnnie was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-nine years Richard P. Shullick, daughter Kayleen Brazina, parents Andy and Velma (nee Gipson) Collins, brother Roy Collins, and sister Clydus Watson.
The Shullick Family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Avon Oaks Nursing and Assisted Living for the wonderful care that Arnnie received while a resident there.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel 3224 Broadway Avenue, Lorain. All visitors will be required to wear facial coverings and guests are asked to follow the Covid-19 Protocol displayed at the funeral chapel entrance and throughout the building. Funeral services will be Monday beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral chapel. Reverend Thomas C. Cleaton, pastor of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish in Avon will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
