Preston W. “Bo” Denbow, age 64, of Lorain, passed away peacefully at his residence on the afternoon of Monday March 8, 2021 following an extended illness.

Born in Elyria on March 8, 1957, Bo was a 1976 graduate of North Ridgeville High School where he played drums in the high school band and also served as a photographer on the yearbook committee.

Following his graduation, Bo enlisted in the United States Navy; he fulfilled duty assignments as a Chief Quartermaster attached to the submarine service and was the recipient of seven Sea Service Deployment Ribbons, the Battle “E” Ribbon, the Good Conduct Medal, the Strategic Deterrent Patrol Insignia, three Meritorious Unit Commendations, and the National Defense Service Medal. Known for his love of coffee, he enjoyed watching television and HO gauge model railroading in his free time. In addition, he could still be frequently found drumming beats to songs he heard being played on the radio.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years Sharon (nee Majjasie), daughters Samantha Santana (Jon) and Julie Martinez both of Lorain, along with Jessica Parsons (Daryl) of Cave City, Kentucky. He also leaves grandchildren Nathaniel Denbow and Ciara Martinez both of Lorain.

Bo was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ardella (nee Bates) Denbow.

Bo’s cremated remains will be buried at sea with full military honors conducted by the United States Navy originating in Norfolk, Virginia.
