Gregory H. Roll, 72, Enjoyed Restoring Old Vehicles
Gregory H. Roll, 72, of Lorain, died Sunday March 14, 2021 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law Keri & Todd Roby in Henrietta Township after a brief battle with cancer.
Greg was born May 6, 1948 in Lorain and had been a lifelong area resident.
He graduated from Brookside High School, worked at US Steel for 18 years and retired from Forest City Technologies.
Greg enjoyed restoring old vehicles and making them into hot rods. He loved being outside and working on his daughter’s farm.
He was a member of the United Street Rod Association and Amherst Eagles.
He is survived by his daughter Keri Roby (Todd) of Henrietta Township, son Troy Roll of Avon, grandchildren: Tylor Hall, Alexandra Roby Horning (Corey), Paxton Roby and Mackenzie Roby; great grandchildren: Kyler & Evelynn Horning; sisters: Dawn Glading of Lorain, Jacquie Rehner of Lakeland, FL and Candie Roll of North Port, FL, brother Donn Roll of Punta Gorda, FL and stepmother Carlene Roll of Punta Gorda, FL. He was preceded in death by his father Donald Roll and mother Mary Todarello (nee Robinson).
Greg’s wishes were to be cremated and have a private family service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
