Marianne H. Ehasz, 88, Enjoyed Going to Her Children's and Grandchildren's Sporting Events

She was born February 27, 1933 in Lorain to John & Mary Palagyi (nee Pelyhes) and was a lifelong Lorain area resident.
Marianne graduated from Lorain High School with the 1950 B class and worked as an assembler at Lorain Products for 21 years retiring in 1998. She had also worked at Durling Elementary School for 7 years in the library and cafeteria.
Marianne was an active member of Hungarian Reformed United Church of Christ in Lorain where she served as the recording secretary of the church Consistory and as a member of the Busy Martha Guild.
She enjoyed going to her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, camping, traveling on short trips and cruises and watching the Cleveland Indians, Browns & Cavs, NASCAR races, westerns and game shows.
She is survived by her children: Elmer (Chris) Ehasz Jr of South Amherst, Kenneth (Lorraine) Ehasz of Lorain, Linda (Dale) Scott of Plainfield, Michael (Bambi) Ehasz of Elyria and Martin (Michele) Ehasz of Canton, Michigan; 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Michelle Ehasz, sister Margaret Palagyi, brothers John, William & Jay Palagyi and her former husband Elmer Ehasz Sr.
The family will receive friends Monday April 5, 2021 from 2:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 4:00 pm at Hungarian Reformed UCC, 1691 E 31st St, Lorain. The Rev. Peter Toth, pastor, will preside. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and follow COVID-19 social distancing protocols while in the church during the wake and funeral. Cremation will follow and her ashes will be interred at a later date at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township in a private family ceremony.
