Roselyn Mittendorf, 82, Caring Wife and Mother

Roz was born in Lorain where she graduated from St. Mary High School in 1958. She made a career being a cashier at grocery stores Pic-N-Pay, Meyer Goldberg, and Kroger. Later, she worked at BF Goodrich Credit Union and retired from the credit card department of B.P. Oil.

A parishioner of St. Peter Church in Lorain, Roz lived her deep faith by praying the rosary with her prayer group and at nursing homes. In 2003, she became an associate member of the Sisters of the Humility of Mary.

A caring wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with immediate and extended family, taking trips, doting on her grandchildren, and the occasional casino trip. Roz made friends easily and was blessed with so many. She knew how to make those she met feel special.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years Donald Mittendorf, daughters Lisa (Darryl) Anderson of Port Orange, Florida, Leslie (Tim) Farley of Ashland and Lorie Feudner (partner Jim Girts) of Akron, grandchildren Mallory Kelts, Mackenzie (Brent) Miller, Sarah (Joe) Witkowski, Christopher Anderson, Zachary Farley, Hannah (Logan) Leon, and Ben Feudner along with nine great-grandchildren, and sister Margaret (Arlie) Lenox. Roz was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Margaret Fascko (nee Bolyos) and brother Joseph B. Facsko.

The family will receive friends Tuesday April 20, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and follow COVID-19 social distancing guidelines displayed at the funeral chapel entrance and throughout the building. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 21, 2021 at 11:00 am at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev Craig Hovanec, pastor, will officiate.
