Elisa Lopez, 82, Enjoyed Painting, Gardening, and Sewing

Photo of Elisa Lopez Elisa Lopez, 82, of Lorain became a direct servant of the Lord on Monday, May 3, 2021 due to Covid related complications.

Elisa was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, and had lived in Lorain for over 70 years. She and her late husband owned and operated Lopez Market for 30 plus years. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Chapel of Lorain and a member of Las Damas. Elisa enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, watching Indians and Cavaliers with her grandchildren, and enjoying the company of her friends. She was self-educated in international cultures and loved attending the Lorain International Festival and Las Fiestas Patronales.

Surviving is her sons, Miguel Jr. and Benjamin, of Lorain, Albito (Kristin), Dannis of Akron; daughter Elisette of Akron; sisters Elsie (Larry) Marra of Poland, Ohio and Noemi Pagan of San Sebastian and eight grandchildren.

Elisa was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Miguel Lopez Sr.; parents Lino Pagan and Pedra Tomasini; sister Edia Fernandez and baby brother Albito Pagan.

Her family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Chapel 4301 Pearl Ave Lorain, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 8:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM, with Rev. Father William A. Thaden as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.

Her family suggests contributions to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, 4301 Pearl Ave., Lorain, Ohio 44055 or LLS.org (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society).
