Kathleen Ann Andrews, 78, Will Be Dearly Missed

She was born August 17, 1942 in Lorain to Burt & Anna Hanko (nee Mikula) and had been a lifelong Lorainite.
Kathy attended St Ladislaus Elementary School through 8th grade, Whittier School for 9th grade and graduated from Lorain High School in June 1960. She attended Lorain Business School studying to be a Key Punch Operator (which she never liked).
Kathy worked at Giveners Jewelry Store and, in her later years, worked part-time at Louis Cohn Menswear. After her children had grown, she went to work for Lorain County Probate Court in the Marriage License division up until her retirement.
Kathy was very involved in her children’s school volunteering in the cafeteria and with other jobs at St Peter School and Lorain Catholic High School. The Catholic religion was especially important to her. As a member of St. Ladislaus Catholic Church, Kathy served as a Eucharistic Minister and spent many hours in the church kitchen cooking for events and fundraisers. She was currently a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Jon D. Andrews, children: James D. Andrews of Amherst and Tracy Stocker (James) of Columbus; grandchildren: Jordan, Jamie, and Jacob and sister Margaret Molnar (Edward) of Lorain. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dolores Turton.
