Deana D. Thomas, 78, Enjoyed Bowling, Golfing, Playing Darts, and Boating

She was born October 22, 1942 in Alliance, Ohio and had resided in the Lorain area most of her life.
Diane graduated from Admiral King High School and earned her Associate Degree in Sociology from Lorain County Community College.
She worked as an assembler for 22 years at the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant retiring in 1997. She also tended bar at AMVETS Post #22 in Vermilion.
Diane loved her grandchildren, was very patriotic and enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing darts and boating. She was a member of UAW Local #425.
She is survived by her daughters: Dawn Guerrero of Lorain, Christine Shaw (Randall) of Huron and Lynette Guerrero of Lorain; grandchildren: Angelique Triplett, Brianna Gorby, Tiara Ammons, Terry Ammons Jr, Willie Marshall III, Allison Gorby, Emmah Shaw and Chloe Shaw; 4 great grandchildren; sister Linda Jasinski of Amherst and brother Kenneth Durbin of Berea. She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Taylor (nee Scott), sister Joanne Elvin and brother Ronald Durbin.
The family will receive friends Monday July 26, 2021 from 4:00 -8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 27, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral chapel with the Rev. John Jackson, chaplain of Mercy New Life Hospice, presiding. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
