Mary B. Verbanek, 99, Enjoyed Spending Time with Her Family at Cedar Point and on Lake Erie

She was born September 29, 1921 in Lorain and had been a lifelong Lorain resident.
Mary graduated from Clearview High School and worked for American Fels Soap Company in Lorain. She attended beautician school and then worked out of her home as a beautician.
Mary was a member of St Peter Parish and the Knights of Columbus. She enjoyed time with her family at Cedar Point and on Lake Erie, shopping and keeping up with the latest in beauty care products.
She is survived by her daughter with whom she made her home Jane Verbanek of Lorain, sister Pat Amodio of Kent and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Verbanek in 1981, parents Thomas & Margaret Lukenic (nee Buckley), brother Larry Lukenic, sister Rita Faroh and brother-in-law George Faroh.
The family will receive friends Wednesday July 28, 2021 from 10:30 am until the time of the mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St Peter Parish, 3501 Oberlin Ave, Lorain. The Rev. Craig Hovanec, pastor, will preside. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
