Curtis B. Haller, 53, Enjoyed Fishing and Hunting

Photo of Curtis B. Haller Curtis B. Haller, 53, of Elyria Township, died unexpectedly on Wednesday August 4, 2021.

He was born April 17, 1968 in Amherst and had been a lifelong area resident.
Curtis graduated from Clearview High School in 1986 and had taken computer aided design courses at Lorain County Community College.

He worked as a self-employed drywall installer. He had also designed several powder coat sprayers and had received several patents for them.

Curtis enjoyed fishing and hunting and had established himself as a gun and cross bow marksman. In his youth, he raced dirt bikes and motorcycles and had won many races of which he was awarded many trophies. He also took up karate and was a 3rd degree blackbelt earning many trophies from contests. He enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes. Most of all, he was a kind, compassionate man who would do anything for his family and neighbors.

He is survived by his sisters: Carole Bare of Amherst, Maureen Payne of Lorain, Rebecca Haller of Lorain, Tracy Lewis of Amherst and Juanita Hardy of Elyria Township and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Junior & JoAnn Haller (nee Lautner).
The family will receive friends Sunday August 8, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain. Funeral services will be held Monday August 9, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the funeral chapel. The Rev. Danny Parsons will preside. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township.
