Jose Gregorio Matheus, 65, Gifted with Unwavering Faith

Photo of Jose Gregorio Matheus Jose Gregorio Matheus, 65 of Elyria, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 19, 2021 doing what he loved most: preaching The Gospel.

A "general" of the faith and a most dedicated warrior for God, he was passionate for The Word and was gifted with the most precious gift – unwavering faith. Unfounded in the natural realm, his foundation was in The Kingdom of God – to him, ‘No’ was not an answer for there was nothing His Father couldn’t do.

Jose was an obedient son to his parents, Ana and Carmelo. A beloved brother to German, Marco, Ricardo, Carmelo, Ivan and to his best friend, Hilda. He was a Spiritual Father, Founding Pastor, Evangelist, Cheerful-Giver, Scholar, Missionary, Mentor, Counselor, Visionary, and Friend. A loving uncle to his nieces and nephews, who counted on him as a father and a friend. He was commissioned by God and his church to ignite the flame of revival in his home, Venezuela – imparting ‘La Mision’ to 3,000 pastors. He was a friend of God.

As a husband, to his beloved wife and eternal girlfriend, Carolina, he was protective, loving, adventurous, spontaneous, a spiritual father and mentor, an encourager, a romantic… He kept every promise to honor her in life.
