Hilda A. Dancisko, 98, Enjoyed Spending Time with Her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren
Hilda A. “Agnes” Dancisko (nee Nuhn), 98, of Elyria Township, died Wednesday October 6, 2021 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born June 9, 1923 in Amherst and had been a lifelong Lorain County resident.
Agnes was a member of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elyria Township of which her family were founding members. During construction of the church building, mass was held in her parents home nearby until the church was completed. She was also a member of the church Altar & Rosary Society and St Margaret’s Circle.
Agnes enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cooking, gardening and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter Donna Aunspaw (John) of Avon, grandchildren: John Aunspaw II (Shani), James Aunspaw (Liz) and Julie Aunspaw; great grandchildren: Austen, Jezika & Kaysei Beard, Jim, Sophia, Belle and Francheska Aunspaw. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Dancisko, parents Edward & Margaret Nuhn (nee Ainsworth), brothers Edward, Robert & Henry Nuhn and sisters Dorothy Veres and Evelyn Nuhn.
The family will receive friends Saturday October 9, 2021 for a 2:00 pm graveside funeral service at Calvary Cemetery, 555 N Ridge Rd, Lorain. The Rev. Neil Walters, pastor of St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, will preside. A memorial mass will be held at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church sometime in November 2021 and will be announced.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel, 3224 Broadway Ave, Lorain.
