Sandra A. Schumaker, 84, Enjoyed Spending Time with Family

Born in Elyria on June 8, 1937, she spent the majority of her life residing in Elyria and Lorain. Sandra moved to Buckhannon, West Virginia in 1994 and returned to Elyria in 2001.
A career homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being involved in their day-to-day activities.
Sandra attended Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Elyria.
In her free time she enjoyed league bowling, shopping, and tackling the challenges posed by puzzle books. She was also an avid fan of televised football games and golf matches on Sunday afternoons.
She is survived by sons Darrel Schumaker (Laurie) and Randy Schumaker both of Elyria, along with daughters Diane Dorsey of Lorain and Debra Schumaker (Jerome) of Elyria. Additional survivors include six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and sisters Bonnie Osbourne (Randy) of Lorain, Cynthia Satterly (Randy) residing in Kentucky, and Sharon Bukowski of North Ridgeville.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Schumaker in 2000, son Richard Schumaker in 1986, granddaughter Amanda Wysocky-LaPash in 2015, parents Delbert and Mildred (nee Powell) Kershaw, one sister, and two brothers.
Family funeral services will be conducted privately in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon, Ohio. Reverend Chuck Behrens, Chaplain and Spiritual Care Coordinator for the Hospice of the Western Reserve will officiate.
